Bespoke Vanity and Dressing Room Spaces

As our cabinetry and joinery is bespoke we are able to create personalised beauty and vanity spaces in bathroom, bedroom and dressing areas. From fitted bathroom storage to made-to-measure jewellery cases, our designers will tailor everything to our clients’ individual requests.

Tailored personal dressing rooms

The bathroom, dressing room and en-suite areas are hugely important to our clients - they are seeking a luxurious haven where they can prepare for the day ahead or relax and perhaps get ready for a glamorous event. Sometimes we add storage solutions to make the absolute best use of bathrooms, turning them into spa-like retreats. Or we may be creating super-storage areas in bedroom suites to accommodate seasonal wardrobes and accessories. Our architects and designers work hard to ensure that each room or area will be perfectly suited to requirements. This could mean we’re providing enough storage space for cosmetics and beauty items, or even creating bespoke shoe storage and secure jewellery cases.

Bespoke  bathrooms

Our architects design brand new bathroom and bedroom areas, particularly when working on a complete refurbishment project. Whole-house designs generally involve full re-configuration of bathrooms and bedrooms, usually adding en-suites and re-working the entire layout to provide the required number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Find out what considerations go into our bathroom redesigns and builds.

Our clients consider the bathroom to be hugely important, particularly the primary bathroom which is usually designed as an en-suite to the main bedroom. Fitted bespoke cabinetry plays an important part in the success of the bathroom design.  We can design cabinetry that accommodates twin basins, include illuminated mirrors and of course, easily accessible and logical storage.

The bathroom is particularly important if it is to act as a vanity space as well, so we will be very precise regarding cabinet and drawer sizes and capacity. We have been known to include integrated cosmetics refrigerators as well, for clients who want to keep their beauty products at precise temperatures.

Luxury dressing room ideas

A dressing room is often an addition to a regular bedroom with wardrobes, turning that part of the house into a suite. Our bedroom projects will always include bespoke wardrobe storage, which is very carefully built after detailed consultation with our clients. We consider how much space is needed for each partner, what is the ratio of hanging space versus drawer or shelf space is, and so on.

A separate dressing room can be considered slightly differently. As well as regular wardrobe space, our clients often require display and storage space for shoes, accessories and jewellery. Our dressing room design would consider whether storage is enclosed or open. Sometimes our clients want to be able to see everything for outfit inspiration, others are happy to have concealed storage. Security can be a consideration regarding jewellery cabinets, and our team will work with special consultants to curate bespoke security solutions.

Vanity room seating

If the layout allows, we often include seating within a vanity or dressing room area. It may be a couple of luxurious pouffes, a chaise-longue or a sofa. These occasional pieces may be chosen to be the ‘stand out’ item in the room, or they may be a continuation of an interior design theme used throughout.

A dressing-table stool or an ottoman can match an upholstered headboard, for example. Our designers may also include fabric-fronted wardrobes and fitted cabinets, again to create continued themes regarding colour and texture.

Bespoke refurbishment architects

Our luxury refurbishment projects require meticulous attention to detail for each and every room within the home. We start with the overall layout, considering all the architectural requirements, where the kitchen and bathrooms will be, and how many reception or general living rooms will be needed. Then we work out what adjustments to the layouts will be required to satisfy our clients’ wishes.

We think about how to accommodate the desired number of bedrooms, whilst doing a deeper dive into the logistics of creating the accompanying en-suite bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes, dressing rooms and vanity areas. Every project is different; every project is bespoke. Contact our expert architects to find out more about our dressing room and vanity space refurbishments and our property rebuilds.
